I have lost the ability to speak recently, and Claro Com and Claro Speak have become a life line. The apps work well and are just what I needed. They work great on my iPhone and the small format means I have the ability to communicate in my pocket at all times. I use Claro comm for conversations and Claro Speak is great for pasting and editing parts of a long email in for people to share by voice.

My speech therapist wanted me to lug a full iPad round with “predictable” on it. This is so much better. (Claro also works on iPad if you really want a large screen)

Thank you Claro! And of course the late Steve Jobs for developing the iPhone as the platform it can run on!

Fantastic App, great value – [ClaroSpeak] is an app that literally change my life. After a life time of never being able to send an email, letter or job application without first having to check, check and re-check, sometimes up to ten times, then having to get someone else to check and then still finding there are mistakes in my work. Installing ClaroRead on my PC was a literal game changer. The amount of freedom and autonomy it gave me was so liberating. Being able to send written work without any extra help and knowing there were little or no mistakes was fantastic. Having this available on iOS has given me that confidence on the move. This is a great app for anyone with dyslexia.

ClaroSpeak US can certainly be considered among the best available text-to-speech apps. There’s not a lot of overt instruction, tutorials, or visual cues, but that’s likely because the developer wanted to create a clean, sparse user interface to make it visually easy to work with. For tutorials, users have to go to the “i” tab and from there, exit to the developer’s website for the user guide. For users who want a lot of customizable options, including highlighting, frequent playback of content, and Dropbox compatibility, ClaroSpeak US is an excellent option.

My girlfriend and i truly believe this is the best AAC app [ClaroCom] we have personally used and reviewed from personal use. The pro upgrade is one of the best things you can buy for yourself or a loved one who needs an AAC app. Support the hard-working developers who put in long hours making this app so useful and awesome…

We have found ClaroCom to be particularly useful for a patient of ours who has a type of dementia that is common with MND (ALS). About 15% of MND (ALS) patients develop a frontotemporal lobe dementia, which can often manifest itself by losing the ability to spell and to find the right word from memory. The layout of ClaroCom has been particularly helpful to this gentleman.

It [ClaroPDF] is one of the best apps we’ve purchased and we have over 500! It is on my “top ten” list and one that I always install on an iPad when we send them out for loan!

I use it for lots of things including reading menus, reading prescription bottles, reading business cards, and so much more.
